Kent Lenard was “radically saved” at the age of sixteen and has been serving God since then. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Donna, since they were eighteen. They have been blessed with three sons and a daughter-in-law.
Kent was born in Winnfield, Louisiana, and moved around the state while growing up. He answered God’s call to be a pastor in 1988 and took seminary extension classes while living in Shreveport. In 1991, he moved his family to Fort Worth to pursue a degree at Southwestern Seminary, and was called to pastor a church northwest of there a year later. After three years at that church, God led him to be involved with planting a new church and he pastored there for thirteen years, until God moved him to Good Exchange in 2008.
Kent had been working and going to school prior to his call into ministry and has worked many “secular” jobs over the years, in the glass business, an oil refinery, and in store management, to name a few. He worked as a hospice chaplain for six years, and served on the ethics committee and was a chaplain for a large hospital in the Fort Worth area. He has run his own bookkeeping and income tax business since 1989 that he considers part of his ministry.
Kent earned three degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary: Diploma in Theology, Graduate Diploma in Theology, and Advanced Master of Divinity.
Since moving here, he has been on mission trips to Romania three times, and now leads mission teams to the Andes Mountains of Peru twice a year.
Kent and his family have enjoyed living in this area and serving in this church. He believes that God will do great things in this church and community.
